The New Zealand Book Council produced this short film (2:10) animated by the Andersen M. Studios in London 2009. The video features an excerpt from Maurice Gee’s classic New Zealand novel Going West coming to life through hand-cut pop-up scenery springing up from the pages. It won an international prize for paper-cut animation by New York’s Museum of Art and Design.

Watch vintage episodes of the fantastical 1980s Nebraska Public Television show "Once Upon a Time." Co-produced by the Nebraska Department of Education and the University of Nebraska in Omaha, the plot revolves around Marion, a librarian who has been kidnapped by a witch who demands a story every day. Each episode, Marion feeds story ingredients into a cauldron and cooks up a book, which she reads to viewers and the witch.

Several of the show's 33 episodes have been uploaded to Google Video, courtesy of Dave Kelly, and can be accessed through this episode guide.
