Personal Libraries

Gorgeous and inspiring, these personal libraries have me envisioning hours upon hours wandering along the shelves, searching out an interesting title or intriguing cover, and curling up to explore the pages. Some of the libraries feature stunning views, but there's a measure of comfort for this librarian in being completely surrounded by the colors and orderliness of shelf upon shelf of tomes, such as those in Neil Gaiman's library, pictured above.

Book Store Advertising

There are half a dozen of these great bookstore posters featured on mymodernmet's blog page, so be sure to visit her and check them out!

Don't you just love it when an advertiser executes on an idea as well as this? Bookstore Mint Vinetu worked with Love Agency in Lithuania to come up with this brilliant series. Sure it reminds us of the whole "sleeveface" idea but with a catchy tagline, it just works. “Become someone else. Pick your hero at Mint Vinetu.”

I honestly never thought there was such a clichéd novel out there...but then, I never actually looked!

Is Rachel Robinson (a.k.a sexy librarian) the only one on campus who doesn't know who Devin Freedman is? No big deal except that the bad-boy rock star gets a kick out of Rachel's refusal to worship at his feet. And that seems to have provoked his undivided attention. It's up to this librarian to find out firsthand just how "bad" he really is.

So William Shakespeare, Viriginia Woolf, Charles Dickens, and Leo Tolstoy walk into a bar... and... okay, I've got nothin'. But you can come up with you own comedy using these finger puppets from Shakespear's Den. Every book lover needs small, puppet authors to discuss the merits of Stream of Consiousness vs. Realism...right?
