Lord of the Libraries, a spoof on Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, is Chris Martin's second film created for KU Libraries. Elves, dwarves, and men battle a brood of librarian castouts while the Hobbits make a mad dash across campus to return The Book of Power, a text 30 years overdue. Not only is the video visually stunning, it is hilarious to watch.

Catalogers! What is the weirdest thing you have ever cataloged? Nanette Donohue's presentation lists the answers, from cake pans to fishing rods. But just when you thought it was all fun and games, Donohue shifts to tutorial mode, describing how to catalog more abstract content such as video games, playaways, streaming video, and realia. She also provides several resources to improve your cataloging experience. Laugh and learn something too.
